Library User Information as a Resource: Concept Connotation and Theoretical Framework Construction

[Purpose/significance] This paper tries to define the concept of library user information as a resource, and construct its theoretical framework.[Method/process] With the method of literature review, comparative analysis,systemic analysis and case study, the paper analyses the connotation and characteristics of library user information as a resource, and distinguishes relative concepts. Then it constructs a research theoretical framework based on theory of information resources management, information organization and knowledge management.[Result/conclusion] Library user information as a resource is a systemic and dynamic process. Its fundamental issues include the sources and types of library user information, values of library user information as a resource, key technology and method of library user information as a resource, application field of library user information resource.
