Abstract

[Purpose/significance]The education and teaching for undergraduates of library science are facing big challenges.This paper introduces a model of experiential learning to support teaching, research,and practice in library and information science (LIS).[Method/process]Based on the case method, this paper introduced the design, implementation, contents and access of community informatics studio-based teaching method in School of Information Management of Zhengzhou University . By the evaluation after class, the value of studio-based teaching methodwas discussed.[Result/conclusion]Changes after taking this teaching method arestudent-centered and practice-centered.Difficulties of this teaching method are that the learning model should be modified, the teaching management method should be refined, and the teacher's language should be modified.The evaluation of students is summarized as higher satisfaction,more participation, and better research methods.
