Realization and Key Issues of Discovery Service about Financial and Economical Databases

[Purpose/significance]That utilizing discovery service reveals financial and economical databases could help users retrieve that kind of information.[Method/process]The situation and problem of discovery service about financial and economical databases are analyzed through literature research, network research and provider consultation. This paper also explores the technical feasibility and key issues about revealing financial and economical databases by the discovery system.[Result/conclusion]This paper analyzes application cases of the means of the local index and subject guide, and gives advice about key issues of the central index about the metadata structure and the access method.
