Studies on the Protection of Library-related Public Interest in the Digital Era:From the Perspective of Chinese Copyright Law and Its Third Revision

[Purpose/significance] Due to the insufficiency on the protection of library-related public interest in the existing legislation and its revisions, the paper is aimed to make rationalize academic suggestions on strengthening library-related public interest from a legislative perspective. [Method/process] Based on the research methods of literature review, empirical review and comparative jurisprudence, this paper extends its discussion in details. [Result/conclusion] Protection of library-related public interest can not only be enhanced at a principal-term level which contains the target term of copyright law and the principle term of fair use, but also be ensured at the specifying individual-clauses level which includes licensing practice, research result sharing and document delivery.
