Abstract

[Purpose/significance] In the era of knowledge economy, as the source of organizational competitive advantage, knowledge needs to be further researched and understood.[Method/process] In this paper, we comprehensively analyze the flow of knowledge within and between the organizations, and consider the flow of knowledge at different levels, so as to understand the flow of knowledg. On this basis, we take the impact of capabilities of organizations on the knowledge flow intra- and inter-organization into consideration, and build the multi-level knowledge flow model based on capability perspective.[Result/conclusion] The multi-level knowledge flow model based on capability perspective shows that the organization needs to pay more attention to the role of knowledge flow which is good for the expansion of organization's knowledge base and the use of knowledge to form competitive advantage. Moreover, organisations also need to focus on the construction of relative capabilities in the process of knowledge flow, to combine the capabilities with knowledge flow at different levels to promote the function of knowledge flow.
