Abstract

[Purpose/significance] The online health community promotes the spread and impact of health behaviors and improves the user's ability to act and perceive, by providing users with network interaction and social support. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the engagement behavior of individuals in online mutual assistance community.[Method/process] Dataset is from Baidu Quitting Smoking Post Bar.Using statistical analysis and social network analysis, this article studies the users' activity status, friendship networks and engagement needs. [Result/conclusion] Baidu Quitting Smoking Post Bar is gradually losing the viscosity of the users.Although the active users have formed a stable group, the user community is in a highly discrete and split state. At the same time, the motivation of short-term users is mainly to seek social support and self-satisfaction.Acting as a welcome role, long-term user group is the main force to promote user engagement and the executor of altruism.
