Practice and Construction of Subject Service Model Embedded in Research Groups Oriented to Precise Demand of Patent Information

Abstract

[Purpose/significance] This paper explored an embedded accurate service model of subject patent information for research groups, and combined the concept of "precision" and "embedded" service. Furthermore, it provided theoretical model and practical experience for other scientific research institutions to carry out subject accurate services for small-scale scientific users.[Method/process] In this paper, the case study of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics of CAS was taken as the research object. It analyzed the demand characteristics of the accurate service of subject patent information of the research groups via four aspects:structural dimension, content dimension, period dimension and mechanism dimension. And it constructed the organizational structure of accurate service model of subject patent information embedded in research groups. Moreover, it formulated a set of content system of research groups' subject patent information accurate service. Then, it designed the corresponding dynamic service plan to meet the demand of the research groups in different periods of the scientific research process. Afterwards, it established some effective mechanisms, including management, process and sustainable development. On the basis of the foregoing contents, the pilot construction of embedded accurate service of subject patent information for research groups in Shanghai Institute of Ceramics of CAS was carried out.[Result/conclusion] The embedded accurate service model of subject patent information for research groups, which was constructed by this paper, was verified to achieve good results in the pilot construction. It effectively supported the management and service work of research groups' patent achievements, and further promoted the patent planning layout and technical transformation in Shanghai Institute of Ceramics of CAS.
