[Purpose/significance] This paper aims to construct the evaluation index system of library vocational education abilities at national or regional level in order to provide reference for the evaluation of library professional education abilities. [Method/process] On the basis of theoretical analysis, this paper puts forward the initial evaluation index system of library vocational education abilities at national or regional level, and uses the Delphi method to determine the final evaluation index system of library vocational education abilities.[Result/conclusion] The evaluation index system of library vocational education abilities at national or regional level consist of 9 first level indicators and 44 second level indicators. It can be used to calculate the library vocational education abilities by use of 44 second level indicators and their synthetic weights.
