Abstract

[Purpose/significance] The electronic health conference (eHealth) is an integral part of the Multi Conference on Computer Science conference and Information Systems (MCCSIS), held by the International Association for the Development of the Information Society (IADIS). It has important influence in the field of international health informatics.[Method/process] At the eHealth 2016 Conference held in Funchal, Portugal, scholars reported more than 20 full papers. This conference also included short papers, reflection papers and posters. The main research contents of this paper through the review of these papers, research methods and results, and the development trend of the emerging field of research, showed the current situation of the leading European health informatics research.[Result/conclusion] By further summarizing the characteristics of this discipline, it will bring inspiration for the study of health informatics in China.
