[Purpose/significance] The purpose of studying Knowledge Bases and Related Tools (KBART) Recommended Practice is to promote the in-depth understanding and extensive implementation of KBART standard in libraries in China, to assist content providers in enhancing the quality of their products by complying with and certified by standards, and to ultimately improve the digital resource environment for end users.[Method/process] This paper mainly introduces the initiation, development, key content and characteristics of KBART; highlights the best practice of KBART, the related educational materials, the activities and the information network hub of knowledge bases. Further, this paper discusses the current implementation status and the future development of KBART.[Result/conclusion] More and more content providers have gradually accepted and complied with KBART, which has promoted standardized digital resource production and management.
