Abstract

[Purpose/significance] The virtual job-hunting community has become an important channel for job seekers to obtain and share information and resources. The purpose of this study is to explore user interaction patterns and structures of the virtual job-hunting community, and put forward the corresponding suggestions for the improvement of the virtual community.[Method/process] Based on the user interaction data from YingJieSheng BBS, using content analysis and social network analysis, this article studies the interactive content and interactive relationship among users.[Result/conclusion] The fact is the most exchanged type of all support types. Social supports, including social network support, information referral support and instrumental support, are also important. Different job topics show different interaction patterns, and the test/interview topic is of most concern. At the same time, the user community is in a discrete state, with less communication between users. Several main networks are supported by a few key members, lacking sufficient core users to promote the dissemination of information and resources.
