Abstract

[Purpose/significance] This article reviewed the relevant literatures and put forward that ties between source and recipient consist of working relationship, interest relationship and affective relationship. This paper creatively integrates these three dimensions into same scope to study.[Method/process] Based on 304 samples of university-industry collaboration in China, the paper empirically validated the impact of working relationship, interest relationship and affective relationship on the performance of knowledge transfer.[Result/conclusion] The results show that:the close friendship tie plays a negative effect on the performance of knowledge transfer; and the close friendship tie adjusts negatively the relationship between interest tie and performance of knowledge transfer; and the close working tie and interest tie have positive effect on performance of knowledge transfer. Finally, the paper discussed the theoretical contributions and managerial contribution of this empirical study, and put forward the research limitations.
