[Purpose/significance] Studying on the existing research data services paths of academic libraries can provide reference for domestic libraries to explore the path and model of data services.[Method/process] Based on the previous researches on 14 professional libraries' services, 15 university libraries' digital scholarship services, and 3 Canada university libraries' data services, the paper summarizes five main paths of data services:data platforms and data services, "one-stop" resource discovery systems and data discovery, digital scholarship services and data services, open data navigation and data services, and comprehensive data consulting and supporting services. Centering on the five path, the paper analyzes their features, makes case studies and discussion on related issues and solutions that require further study.[Result/conclusion] Different data services paths have advantages and disadvantages and applicability conditions, and they can work independently and collaboratively as well. The five paths have their own value and necessity, any one of them contributes to construct a complete data service system, and therefore enables library to better occupy the "domain" of data services and to take the initiative in data services in competition and cooperation with publishers, information technology and service organizations.
