[Purpose/significance] As one of the new goals of the innovation-oriented country, "smart society" puts forward new requirements for the development of libraries. As a new generation of libraries, smart library is conducive to the construction of smart society.[Method/process] Based on the development background of the smart society, this paper discusses the smart library from the three following aspects:connotation, service and construction path.[Result/conclusion] Firstly, the connotation structure system, service concept model and conceptual model of smart library construction of "44-11-33" are proposed. Secondly, the construction principles and principles of the smart library are sorted out. Finally, the paper puts forward some suggestions on the construction of intelligent library from the aspects of new technology application, resource construction, service expansion, and the construction of librarian team.
