[Purpose/significance] Due to the rapid development of digitalization, bibliography, the core theory of library science, with paper documents as its core, is now under challenge of the increasing digital resources. Changes should be made on the document's management and organization.[Method/process] The development process of the library catalogue integrating paper and digital documents is a process of "break-recombination", which will break down the barriers between digital resources, rebuild and integrate paper and digital document resources, so as to form a bulk storage of metadata, which will be served in various targeted objects or specific scenes.[Result/conclusion] Based on the integration, libraries can manage both paper and digital resources precisely. Moreover, the integrated resources can be applied in the fields of document organization and document information analysis, realizing the shift from "participating" to "leading" academic researches.
