[Purpose/significance] Today, great changes have taken place in the library information service environment, this paper aims at providing the design and implementation methods for constructing the workflow-driven and context-sensitive resource discovery system. [Method/process] By analyzing the characteristics and the changes of information services environment and demands in current information service institutions, investigating the current application status of domestic academic resource discovery system, we summarized the shortcomings of the resource discovery system introduced by domestic information service institutions, and these shortcomings appear in the user authority control function and the service workflow design. Then, we put forward the idea of constructing a workflow-driven and context-sensitive resource discovery system, and the specific implementation methods are also introduced. [Result/conclusion] The design and implementation methods introduced in this paper have been successfully applied in the integrated services environment of Guangdong Science and Technology Library. It can be a reference for building a practical academic resource discovery and delivery system with similar application environment and requirements in China.
