[Purpose/significance] The space reengineering of university library is one of the focuses of current theory and practice in the industry. Studying the types, attributes and service orientation of library space reengineering has important reference value for the development direction of space reengineering and space service.[Method/process] Based on the paving of active learning ability, this paper made an analysis and research on the meaning, characteristics, functions and functions of active space, and put forward the service ideas of library active space from the aspects of space service concept, resources, practice and activity mode.[Result/conclusion] It is considered that "active space" is the direction of university library space reengineering, which is in line with the current and future goal of university talent training.
