[Purpose/significance] Libraries in China have paid less attention to the study of exhibition policies. As a contrast to it, foreign libraries have accumulated much richer experience in relevant fields. Therefore, study of exhibition policies in foreign libraries is conducive to exhibition services of domestic libraries.[Method/process] By studying the text of exhibition policy and exhibitions loans policy of National Library of Australia, this research tries to find some enlightenment provided by its useful practices to libraries in China.[Result/conclusion] The libraries concerned in China should improve their exhibition services from four perspectives. Firstly, emphasis should be put on the organization construction of exhibition activities. Secondly, the study of exhibition principles should be strengthened. Thirdly, exhibition lending policies should be laid down in accordance with Chinese cultural relics' protection policies. Fourthly, exhibition borrowing policies should be laid down in accordance with the actual situations in our country.
