[Purpose/significance] Distance is an important factor affecting users' visits to public libraries.Accessibility of public libraries is a measurement of reasonable, scientific, full coverage and equalization of a city's public library layout.[Method/process] Based on the theory of accessibility, the study explored different methods for measuring the service areas of public libraries, and analyzed the concepts and indicators related to spatial accessibility. Using ArcGIS, taking the Suzhou Industrial Park as an example, the network space accessibility and service area of the public library's general branch library were measured, and the linear distance and the actual path distance, the Tyson polygon framed service area, the public service guarantee circle were measured.[Result/conclusion] The measurement results give a strategic reference to the refinement of network of the public library main and branch systemin urban space. Using the volume method and coverage method comprehensively, the population factors in geographical space are proposed, and the geographical sensitivity of different regions is combined to continuously optimize the network layout of public libraries.
