[Purpose/significance] Providing patent information service under the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area national development strategy has a significant meaning to the regional technology improvement and industry development.[Method/process] The paper introduced the patent information service pattern and experience by summarizing the developing trend of the Great Bay Area thought investigation, patent analysis and literature study as well as taking Guangdong Science and Technology Library as the example for case study.[Result/conclusion] Summarizing the experience from all aspects including building intellectual property think tank, constructing patent information platform, providing patent information service and external cooperation to provide future reference for libraries which are willing to offer patent information service in the Great Bay Area.
