Research on the Behavior Characteristics of Personal Health Information Management of Online Health Community Users

Abstract

[Purpose/significance] This study aims to make an analysis of the behavior characteristics of personal health information management of online health community users. And the relationship between the elements of "platform-PHIM-health goals" is discussed.[Method/process] Online healthy community users with lupus erythematosus were selected as the subjects. Clustering is used to identify groups with different levels of personal health information management behavior measurement, and One-way ANOVA is used to make a comparative study of different groups.[Result/conclusion] The behaviors of personal health information management based on online health community are defined as health information finding, health topic interaction and health information sharing. First of all, there are significant differences in the level of personal health information management behaviors of lupus patients in online health community. Second, there is a positive correlation between the perceived social support and personal health information management. Third, there is a positive correlation between personal health information management and users' health goals. This study aims to provide suggestions for online health community to improve its service and to improve personal health information management for chronic patients.
