[Purpose/significance] To outline the current situation of the application of RFID technology in libraries in China and provide reference for libraries applying RFID technology. [Method/process] Combined with user experience in libraries, interview, industry practices and existed research, this paper summarized and analyzed the technology problems and management problems in the process of introducing RFID into Chinese libraries. [Result/conclusion] RFID is only a tool, resource construction and service innovation are the connotation of library development. For the vast majority of libraries, it is a better choice to fully explore the existed technology than to introduce innovative technology.
