[Purpose/significance] This paper conducts research on the practice of NSTL National Major Strategic Information Service Platform to provide strategy information services.[Method/process] Investigating on information services by domestic libraries for national major strategy, the paper summarized the types, contents, forms, and subjects of strategic information services by Chinese libraries. Then it analyzed the case of NSTL national major strategic information service platform to summarize the service status, characteristics of sub-platforms, sub-modules and extended services.[Result/conclusion] Based on the advantages of NSTL national major strategic information service platform, combined with the current service environment, this paper suggests that the platform can strengthen the service competitiveness by expanding the service scope and scale, enhancing the decision support role of think tank service, and realizing the sustainable development mechanism.
