[Purpose/significance] This paper reviews and introduces the book Research on Food Safety Supervision Index in China:Theory, Model and Practice, aiming to make readers understand the theory, method and practice of information resource management in the era of big data. [Method/process] This paper reviewed and compared existing research on the basis of a lot of reading and data mining. Based on information transparency issues and regulatory performance difficulties in the field of food safety supervision, this paper used a series of theoretical methods such as big data mining, theoretical modeling, empirical research and evaluation analysis to systematically analyze the information transparency mechanisms and supervision performance behaviors of food safety supervision. [Purpose/significance] This paper highlights the application value of information resources and big data in food safety supervision, and emphasizes the application of the methodology system featuring information resource management and data-driven in the interdisciplinary research. On the basis of the original analysis methods, a series of new applications in the perspectives of big data mining, information processing, data modeling, empirical analysis and evaluation research are proposed, which provide new perspectives, new concepts, new ideas and new applications for information resource management practitioners to carry out their work and research theories.
