[Purpose/significance] Focusing on user behavior data in the process of using electronic resources, this paper makes a comparative analysis of the existing collection approaches, and provides a technical reference for the basic data collection approaches for university libraries to carry out document intelligence services.[Method/process] This paper analyzed the implementation principle of communication protocol, Cookie mechanism, RIA technology and client technology for university libraries to clients, and carried out data collection and comparative experiments.[Result/conclusion] According to different library resources, various technologies play different roles in effectively collecting behavior data generated by the process of readers' use of electronic resources.
