Research on Knowledge Outline of the Cultural Heritage Domain

Abstract

[Purpose/Significance] Knowledge analysis of cultural heritage is of great significance to domain knowledge modeling, knowledge organization and the construction of smart data resources. [Method/Process] To clarify the knowledge structure and characteristics of cultural heritage, this article systematically analyzed the core shared concepts and domain knowledge association in the field of cultural heritage based on the computing and analysis of domain ontologies. Meanwhile, the knowledge outline of cultural heritage was proposed and constructed. [Result/Conclusion] The core shared concepts of cultural heritage domain mainly include objects and entities, types and concepts, time and places, events and activities, documents and works, agent, etc. Knowledge association and relationships in the field of cultural heritage are extremely rich, various and complex. The results are helpful to understanding the knowledge system of cultural heritage more comprehensively, and provide insight into the domain ontology development and knowledge modeling. Furthermore, this study will promote the knowledge organization and management of cultural heritage more effectively.
