[Purpose/Significance] By comparing with the Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center, this paper will study the problems existing in the intangible cultural heritage protection of the archives, and provide optimization strategies for the archives to improve the quality of intangible cultural heritage protection during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. [Method/Process] Using python language to construct LDA model, topic mining and evolution analysis were carried out on the official Website of the archives and the Website of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center, and the outstanding problems in the protection of intangible cultural heritage of the archives were discussed through comparative analysis. [Result/Conclusion] There are still some problems in the protection of intangible cultural heritage in the archives, such as the transformation, the traditional filing and protection mode of archives management is challenged; unbalanced development, the protection of intangible cultural heritage in archives has not yet formed a system; lack of linkage, the archives cooperate loosely with other intangible cultural heritage protection institutions. In the future, we need to focus on the three perspectives of digital empowerment (archives highlight the advantages of intangible cultural heritage filing in the wave of digital transformation), system construction (the archives improve the top-level design of intangible cultural heritage protection in practice), and complementary advantages (promote the coordination and cooperation among different institutions in intangible cultural heritage protection in the multi subject pattern), and improve the level and quality of intangible cultural heritage protection in the archives.
