[Purpose/Significance] It is of great significance to explore the influence direction and degree of different policy tools on rural revitalization, to promote policy innovation and to promote rural revitalization strategy. [Methods/Processes] Based on Chinese time series data from 2006 to 2020, rural revitalization effects were allocated by entropy weight method, rural revitalization evaluation index system was constructed, and the direction and contribution of different kinds of policies tools to rural revitalization were empirically analyzed by the vector autoregression model. [Result/Conclusion] The results show that the supply-type, environment-type and demand-type policy tools have a positive impact on the rural revitalization index, but the supply-type policy tools have a negative impact on the rural revitalization index in the early stage; At the same time, different types of policy tools have a different impact on the rural revitalization index, and demand-based policy tools have the greatest impact on rural revitalization. Therefore, in order to improve the implementation effect of rural revitalization, while improving the policy tool system, we should pay attention to the flexible use of various policy tools to form the greatest synergy.
