[Purpose/Significance] To sort out the research on the value of scientific data at home and abroad, summarize the research status, and look forward to the future direction. [Method/Process] The literature research method was used to widely obtain the literature related to the value of scientific data, and the network research method was used to analyze the research and project results of important foreign institutions, and the research related to the value of scientific data was reviewed and prospected. [Result/Conclusion] At present, the research on the value of scientific data mainly focuses on three themes: the connotation of the value of scientific data, the influencing factors of the value of scientific data and the evaluation of the value of scientific data, and the overall research is still in its infancy. In the future, research should be furthered from three aspects: the basic theory of the value of scientific data and its realization, the content and mechanism of influencing factors of scientific data value, and the measurement of economic and social value of scientific data, and improved practice from four aspects: improving the policy standards for the classification and grading of scientific data, strengthening the safe circulation and effective supervision of scientific data, cultivating the data management capabilities of scientific data subjects, and constructing the value of scientific data to achieve a good ecology.
