Abstract

[Purpose/Significant] It is important to explore the preference of users' online health information selection in the context of multi-attribute tasks to understand user's health psychology, health behavior and decision-making,and to provide more insights for the health information behavior. This study can promote the personalized and intelligent service design of health information system, and help users efficiently obtain health information, solve health problem and improve life quality, and contribute to the implementation of national strategy of "Healthy China 2030".[Method/Process] The study recruited 64 participants in the experiment.Through Chi-square test and correspondence analysis of experimental and simulated data,it demonstrated the characteristics of users' online health information selection preference in the multi-attribute task.[Result/Conclusion] (1) Users mostly select the top 5 information sources, including online question&answer community, online health community, social media, encyclopedia and professional database. These health information platforms/sources should be the focus of comprehensive management.(2) The strength of correlation between the task types, which combined with different attributes, including task complexity, product and health topic, and different online health information sources are significantly different.Users have different preferences for different information sources with different task.(3) Based on the relationships between task types and information sources,a task type-online health information source selection preference model is developed for optimizing the design of health information system.
