[Purpose/Significance] This paper compares and analyzes the data management and sharing policies of the global national-level snow and ice science data centers, and provides targeted enlightenment for the construction of China’s snow and ice science data center. [Method/Process] Taking the national-level snow and ice scientific data center registered in the re3data scientific database as the research object, this paper compared the domestic and international scientific data management and sharing policies from their external characteristics and content characteristics. [Result/Conclusion] Different countries attach different importance to data management and sharing policies, with the characteristics of emphasizing data release and access and ignoring data archiving. The construction of domestic snow and ice scientific data center may be strengthened in the following aspects: the formulation and implementation of detailed data storage and archiving policies, taking into account both the sharing and security of data, optimizing the release and dissemination of data policies, and strengthening technical support and product innovation.
