Abstract

[Purpose/Significance] This study aims to explore the types and satisfaction of user need in intangible cultural heritage (ICH) short video, reveal key points of user focus, and analyze the impact of user need satisfaction on their information sharing behavior. [Method/Process] Initially, comments from the ICH-related secondary creation videos titled “Devastation and Redemption” on Bilibili were collected and categorized into user need types through open coding. Subsequently, a Bert multi-label classification model was utilized to identify the need categories of all comment texts. Secondly, sentiment analysis was applied to classify the emotional tone of the comments, assessing the satisfaction of user needs. Fuzzy-Set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA) was then employed to examine the causal relationships and configurational pathways between user need satisfaction and information sharing behavior across different videos. [Result/Conclusion] User needs for ICH short videos can be categorized into three dimensions and seven types: information needs (performer, content quality, thematic selection, and ICH form), emotional needs (emotional resonance and cultural perception), and interaction needs (social interaction). The satisfaction of user needs affects the sharing behavior, with the satisfaction of content quality needs being a necessary condition for influencing user sharing. Additionally, the core conditions influencing user sharing behavior are the satisfaction of content quality needs, emotional resonance needs, social interaction needs, and thematic selection needs.
