[Purpose/Significance] In the process of digital transformation of higher education, the adjustment and innovation of educational concepts, teaching content, teaching methods, teaching objectives, and effectiveness evaluation facilitated by university libraries are of great significance for fully exerting their digital literacy education functions. [Method/Process] Through theoretical analysis, the connotation and characteristics of digital literacy were refined. Case study was used to examine the proactive change and enrichment of the teaching process by Nankai University Library, which integrated digital literacy education into the existing information literacy curriculum, replanned the teaching objectives and content of digital literacy, and improved the entire process of undergraduates’ digital literacy through innovative practical methods. [Result/Conclusion] This study proposes that digital literacy is essentially a product of the digital age, an organic integration of digital knowledge, skills, and thinking in digital scenarios. The iteration of educational concepts from information literacy to digital literacy is an important foundation for carrying out digital literacy education. Innovatively planning and practicing teaching content based on digital application scenarios for college students can effectively achieve active improvement and internalization from skill training to digital thinking and awareness. The empowerment brought by critical thinking and innovation ability is the most important goal of digital literacy education.
