[Purpose/Significance] The digitization of ancient books plays a significant role in protecting China's cultural heritage and preserving traditional culture. A complete set of digitization standards for ancient books can enhance the unified management and regulation of the digitization process, and facilitate the long-term preservation and utilization of digital resources of ancient books. [Method/Process] Based on a literature review, this paper constructs a standard framework, covering the entire process of ancient book digitization from the perspective of the digital lifecycle. On this basis, it comprehensively sorts out and analyzes the current domestic and international standards for ancient book digitization and their constituent contents. Combined with the actual needs and development trends of ancient book digitization, it proposes corresponding strategies for its future development in China. [Result/Conclusion] Some suggestions for the sustainable development of the standardization work of ancient book digitization in China are proposed from three aspects: the strategic background of national cultural digitization, the benchmark of the digital lifecycle of ancient books, and the orientation of the development and utilization of digital resources of ancient books.
